np/2:36 p.m.
sunday morning, i was supposed to work at 7am. however, i was out with ben and some friends celebrating his birthday (riding his bike, he ran into a parked car and chipped teeth and split lips) belatedly. i knew i had to work but didn't get home until 4 or 5 am.
"I woke up when the alarm went off at 7:12. I can't remember it going off prior to that. You're a lighter sleeper than I am, so you may have hit snooze before I stirred (...enough to remember it). Then I was like, "Jaime, it's 7:12! You were supposed to be at
work 12 minutes ago!!" where you responded "Uhhhh!!!" and rolled over to
sleep some more. I tried waking you back up as the phone rang on the
nightstand. "Jaime, you answer it. It's probably work," I said as I
handed you the phone. Without turning it on, you tried to answer it only
to have it ring in your ear. You yelled, muttered something, then put
it down (still ringing) next to you on the bed. I tried to answer it,
but they hung up after the fourth ring. Then, knowing it'd be even
harder for you to get up if you'd fall back asleep, I got you up and you left. "

this is peter's recount on what happened sunday morning. i'm in the library right now and i just read his email. i started laughing so hard i was crying, very silently for this is the library and now my nose is running.
every time i read it i laugh again and there's a guy next to me trying to see why i'm laughing.
no! it's my funny. i earned it. i thought i was going to throw up at work, not from drinking but from sleep deprivation.
